How these tools are built
I trade, and I got tired of calculators that hand you a number and hide the arithmetic. So every tool here prints the formula it used and works through a real example next to it. Risking 1% of a 5,000 dollar account is 50 dollars; the position size calculator shows you exactly how it turned that 50 dollars into a lot size, not just the lot size. If the maths is wrong you can catch it, because it is on the page.
Where a tool leans on data, the data is public and the source is named. Inflation and real-wage numbers come from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The yield curve and recession signals come from the Federal Reserve's own series through FRED. Currency rates are the European Central Bank's daily reference rates. Central bank policy rates come from each bank's own releases. Futures positioning is the CFTC's weekly Commitments of Traders report. Nothing here is scraped from a vendor whose terms forbid showing it to you, which is why you will not see live stock or crypto prices dressed up as our own.
The market dashboards read from a cache we refresh on a schedule, not from your browser hitting an exchange. That keeps the pages fast and keeps us inside the licensing rules, but it also means a funding rate or a sentiment score is a recent snapshot, not a tick. Each page says when it was last updated, so you always know how fresh the number is.
The calculators are different again: they run entirely in your browser. Your account balance, your risk, your open positions, your broker statement, none of it is sent to us or stored anywhere. The trading journal and the statement analyzer parse your file on your own machine and forget it when you close the tab. There is no account to make and no email to give.
